ModelIntegra

The ModelIntegra generator can be integrated in any UML tools. Anyway the available plugin is built for MagicDraw UML and therefore you must have MagicDraw UML installed to use it.

You will need the following environment:

• OS: Windows XP / Vista (Unix/Linux is not tested, but should be possible)
• UML Tool: MagicDraw UML 15.0

Install the Plugin

• Download the plugin
• Close MagicDraw (if it’s open)
• Unzip the downloaded file into the MagicDraw installation folder (e.g. “C:\Program Files\NoMagic\MagicDraw\”)
• Restart MagicDraw

Check if there is the menu entry “ModelIntegra” in the main menu of MagicDraw

Setup Example Files

• In order to get started quickly there is an example package that contains all files needed.
• Download the example package and unzip the file to “C:\”
• Open the example model “ATM-Example.mdzip” with MagicDraw, which can be found in the folder “C:\dev_md\specs\model”

The mentioned paths correspond to the paths which are set within the model. If you use different paths, than the paths within the model must be changed too.

Generate Report

• Open the example model with MagicDraw (if not already done) and choose “ModelIntegra -> Standard Generation” from the main menu
• After a short while a “progress bar” should appear. After successful generation the message “Generation successful” should appear in the console window.
• You will be asked to open the report in the browser. Choose “Yes”.
• The HTML report (that has been generated into the folder “C:\dev_md\report\”) should now show up in your browser.
